Courses for New Faculty - College Faculty Credentialing

Alternative Courses
Southwest Minnesota State University  became the provider for the Teaching and Learning Course Requirements.  Faculty can still take the Teacher Education Series (TES)  from Bemidji State University or the University of Minnesota.  The focus of the Teaching and Learning Courses is for community and technical college faculty while the TES courses focus on career and technical college education.  Faculty can interchange courses but should look carefully at the titles because they do vary from university to university. A chart of the requirements and which courses will fulfill those requirements is attached.

Check out each of their web sites to get further information about the Teacher Education Series. You may also check their current course schedules.

Courses taken from other universities need to be evaluated by the Office of the Chancellor to see if they meet the requirements for equivalency.
